Tina, Charcoal on Paper

This is a selection of my Drawings completed whilst at Rhode Island School of design. Most of the drawings Completed are charcoal on paper but a layer of powered charcoal is used first to give the drawing more of an atmospheric feeling. The Drawings were mostly used as anatomical studies, this skill is of paramount importance to the development of my paintings. The integral weaving of muscles in the human anatomy is vastly complicated and undeniably beautiful, true mastery of this has only been achieved by few, but to even begin to understand this pursuit is of great excitement to me.
