This is a selection of my Paintings completed whilst at Rhode Island School of design. The main body of my painting consists of figurative and portrait painting. Most works are oil on canvas. My work is largley infulence by a handful of paintiers mostly from the 20th and 21st centuary. These artists include Euan Uglow, Lucian Freud, Jenny Saville as well as some more contempary painters such as Bacon and De Kooning. Figurative painting in what ever context is my first love and though I adore traditional portraiture I am trying more and more to add a contempary edge to my most recent paintings.
