This is a selection of my Paintings completed whilst at Rhode Island School of design. The main body of my painting consists of figurative and portrait painting. Most works are oil on canvas. My work is largely influenced by a handful of painters from the 20th and 21st centaury. These artists include Euan Uglow, Lucian Freud, Jenny Saville as well as some more contemporary painters such as Bacon and De Kooning. Figurative painting in whatever context is my first love and though I adore traditional portraiture I am trying more and more to add a contemporary edge to my most recent paintings.
