This is a selection of my Paintings completed whilst at Rhode Island School of design. The main body of my painting consists of figurative and portrait painting however this is a small selection of some still life’s that I have done in conjunction with my figurative work. Most works are oil on canvas. My work is largely influence by a handful of painters mostly from the 20th and 21st centaury. These artists include Euan Uglow, Lucian Freud, Jenny Saville as well as some more contemporary painters such as Bacon and De Kooning. Still life painting is something I wish to continue next year, but in relation to a new project that I have in mind the scale of the paintings will drastically decrease.
